Handrails, ramps and stairlifts in Concord, NC
Stairs and front steps are where a lot of falls happen. We look at how you climb, turn and reach, then add the support that fits: a second rail, a ramp or a stairlift.
Second stair handrail
$595A second continuous rail, up to about 14 feet, anchored to framing so both hands have support going up and down.
Modular aluminum ramp
from $4,500About 20 feet with a landing. Modular, so it can be adjusted or removed later.
Straight stairlift
from $4,800A straight-rail stairlift installed by a trusted local dealer. Curved stairs are quoted separately.
Doorway widening
$1,650 per openingWidened to 32–36 inches for a walker or wheelchair. Sometimes offset hinges are enough, and cost much less.
Starting prices. Your final price is in your written quote. Prices don't include NC sales tax where it applies. What changes the price: ramp length and landings, stair length, and framing behind walls.
Ramp, stairlift or handrail?
It depends on the person, not just the stairs. Someone who can climb with support often only needs a second rail. Someone who uses a wheelchair needs a ramp or a lift. Your PT tests what you can do safely today and plans for what's likely next.
